SingaporeLegalAdvice.com is excited to launch a free e-guide that will walk readers through the estimated fees for getting a divorce in Singapore.
Titled “How Much Does It Cost to Get a Divorce? A Comprehensive Guide to Divorce Fees in Singapore”, this 44-page guide is available for free download now.
How Did This Guide Come About?
From December 2017 to February 2018, there was a spirited discussion on divorce fees in Singapore in the Straits Times Forum – specifically, on how divorce lawyers allegedly overcharge and whether divorcing couples should even need to hire lawyers at all.
While there are numerous resources explaining Singapore’s divorce laws and procedure online, we found there is a severe lack of information on the actual cost of getting a divorce. We consequently embarked on a project to interview divorce lawyers on their fees and compile our insights into a guide.
We are now proud to release Singapore’s first and only comprehensive guide to divorce fees in Singapore for members of the public, completely free of charge. The guide aims to answer 3 broad questions:
- How do lawyers charge for divorce work?
- How do divorce lawyers collect their fees?
- Are lawyers necessary for divorce work?
Through our guide, we hope that members of the public will gain a better understanding of the estimated fees they can expect to pay if they were to hire a divorce lawyer.
