My experience was very similar to others who have left positive comments for Ms. Bhavini’s service. I was in a frustrating situation of trying to move the application for the grant of probate with another solicitor and felt I was getting no way, and came upon this site. After reading all the positive comments, and after a quick call with Ms. Bhavini, I decided to transfer my case to her because she clearly understood my challenges. Due to some personal reasons, I needed to get the grant asap so that I could start and complete the execution of the will in the quickest manner possible. Over the phone, within <10 mins, Ms. Bhavini was able to explain to me the steps needed for proper and efficient probate application.

Here is what is really impressive:
We spoke on 2nd May, an amicable transfer of my case from my original lawyer to her was agreed upon in the evening, and an application of the transfer was approved on the 3rd May (Fri). On 7th May (Tues), Ms Bhavini completed all the papers and filled all the documents for me (Schedule, Affidavit etc), and on 8th (Weds), I received an email from her telling me that my application has been approved, and she will proceed to extract my grant of probate to collect on 9th May (Friday).

It is almost impossible to believe it, with less than 5 working days, Ms. Bhavini has managed to help me to get the probate granted, while I've spent almost 2 months unable to get a clear understanding of the process from my previous lawyer. What triggered me to search for advice, was when I was told by the former lawyer that I could only file my case for hearing on the 22nd May and that after that, it would take a minimum of 1.5 months before the probate can be granted, i.e., the earliest by mid-July.

I seldom write a review in the public domain, but because I benefited from what others have shared on Ms. Bhavini's service, I am doing it so that someone else may benefit from my experience. Though Ms. Bhavini never promised me how quickly she could help me obtain the grant of probate, but she said she could help, and it would be quicker than the mid-July date.

And, that she did, and in such an unbelievable record – I cannot thank her enough, for the quick turnaround of my case and the relief it gave me. Without a doubt, I will recommend her without reservation to anyone who needs an experience probate lawyer. After this experience, I have decided to get further help from her for the revision of my own will – and I also plan to have my executor to contact her for help when it is time to execute my will.

Professional, very experienced, and WOW 5 stars!

KK Tan,

THANK YOU FOR FACILITATING MY 11th HOUR COURT APPLICATION FOR GRANT OF LETTERS OF ADMINISTRATION (LOA)

On the evening of 14 Feb 2019, I was searching online for a local solicitor to advise me with regards to an application to the Family Court for a Grant of Letters of Administration (LOA) for my deceased parent’s estate. That was when I came across Ms. Shah Bhavini’s online profile @ Singapore Legal Advice webpage. Due to some ongoing “procedural exigencies” that I was facing with this particular government agency, I figured out that I did not have the luxury of time to consider & compare between other legal options. And so I decided to email her at 8pm. I wasn’t expecting any immediate response, but I received her email reply after about 10 minutes.

In my 2nd email to her that same night, I presented to her my family situation & explained to her that I desperately needed the LOA asap. I met up with her the next day in her office and listened to her as she explained to me the legal process in an easy to understand manner. She explained to me that for similar cases like mine, even if the legal process went smoothly, a reasonable waiting time was approximately 5-8 weeks from the time of court application.

I then proceeded to sign the “Warrant to Act” form, and paid upfront a sum of money for “professional fees”.

On 17 Feb 2019, Ms. Bhavini completed the e-filing my LOA application with the Family Court. On 21 Feb 2019, she went on to file the Ex-Parte Originating Summons + Statement + Supporting Affadavit with the Family Court. On 25 Feb 2019, she emailed me a copy of each of the above documents. Ms. Bhavini also informed me that the Court Hearing date was set for a certain date in late Mar 2019 during which she would represent me to attend (my presence was not required) – now, that was about 1 month away!!!

From this point on, there was nothing more for me to do on the legal front except to wait for the Court response.

Then suddenly, out of the blue came a pleasant surprise on 7 Mar 2019, when I received an email from Ms. Bhahvini congratulating me for successfully securing the LOA! She explained to me that there were 2 main factors for the successful expedition — Factor 1: Due to the “procedural exigencies” that I was facing with this particular government agency, she had manage to expedite the filing of the Supporting Affidavit once the hearing date was fixed instead of following through with the usual Registry timelines. Factor 2: As there were no other assets apart from a single property being claimed as listed in the Asset Schedule, she was able to quickly file the Asset Schedule together with my Supporting Affidavit.

As can be seen from my experience interacting with Ms Shahvini, the whole encounter was a very pleasant one. In hindsight, I should also add that to minimise the likelihood of misunderstandings, it was very important for me (the client) to explain to her (the solicitor) what exactly was required of her services and then to be truthful and succinct in presenting to her the facts of the matter. And of course, sometimes you just might get a positive surprise from her at the end of her legal representation.

VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS SOLICITOR!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Alex,

My journey for a Letter of Probate was eased to a smooth sailing experience by Ms Bhavini. Very professional, Very good listener, and most importantly a very good resolver of legal issues. Although the process was delayed due to my inefficiency, her hand hold guides were exemplary for me to have cleared my legal processes smoothly. She was also a commissioner for Oaths but she made me take the oaths with a different lawyer so as not to breach code of practice. Highly recommended Lawyer for any legal issues. Thank You Ms Bhavini. Glad to have known you.

Mohamed,

Efficient and precise in providing information, thanks for your help!
