Ezra graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)(Hons) from the University of Manchester in 2015. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Social Psychology and Counselling (Grad.DipPsy), and a Professional Diploma in Applied Psychology from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Extension.
He passed the Singapore Part A Bar examinations in December 2015 and passed the Singapore Part B Bar examinations thereafter.
Ezra joined Arul Chew & Partners(“ACP”) in 2012, as an intern and remained with the firm for his relevant legal training and practice training contract ending mid-2016. ACP is a full-service firm undertaking litigation (primarily contract, trusts, corporate and commercial and Intellectual property work), corporate work (including due-diligence, restructuring, deal negotiation / structuring of SPVs / security documentation as well as general corporate advisory and commercial agreements) and conveyancing & property work (for entities and banks).
Upon being called to the bar, Ezra joined Abdul Rahman Law Corporation(“ARLC”) as an associate. ARLC was awarded Syari’ah Compliant Law Firm Of The Year, Singapore 2016 by the Europoean Law Journal and ranked as Best Syari’ah Law Firm of the Year, 2015 by Global Law Expert. ARLC works closely with partner law firms in the South-East Asian region and internationally providing clients with responsive, innovative advice and solutions across the full spectrum of Islamic finance products and services thanks to the firm’s owner, Mr. Abdul Rahman’s dedication in providing efficient legal services ‘for the people’.
Ezra has since moved back with Arul Chew & Partners.
Ezra’s areas of interests include amongst others Civil Litigation, Company Law and Family Practice.
His experience as an entrepreneur before being called to the bar, allows him the opportunity to appreciate the problems faced by companies today from shareholders disputes to breach of contracts. He is always keen to help solve the problems faced by companies, and assisting companies in corporate advisory and contract drafting.
