About
Working with clients to help them find real solutions to legal issues that are causing them stress and worry isn’t just a job, it’s something I’m passionate about. It’s a calling.
I was called to the Singapore Bar in 1989, and have since chalked up three decades of active legal practice. I’ve acquired the experience and knowledge across a diverse range of legal matters, enabling me to bring a broad-based approach to problem-solving.
Where a fight is called for, I’ll bring a hands-on and passionate approach to advocating and championing my clients’ interests.
In dealing with non-contentious matters, I take pride in providing my clients with prompt and objective advice. I’m well-known for anticipating any potential complications and issues and for my meticulous drafting of corporate documents, and I understand the business environment well.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Corporate & Commercial Law from the London School of Economics. I’m also a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public.

Divorce
Dealing with a family breakdown is tough. Besides the emotional impact it brings, grappling with legal issues such as divorce, property divisions, your children’s living arrangements and settling financial provision can take a huge toll on your life.
While some people manage their way through the legalities without a lawyer, it really depends on how difficult your situation is and what’s at stake. But one thing is clear – having a lawyer can go a long way in lifting off the burdens and uncertainties in the following situations:
- You are unclear as to what you are entitled to under the law.
- The other side is represented by a lawyer.
- There are children involved.
- There is jointly-held property and no agreement on how it should be divided.
In my 30 years of legal practice, I’ve had the privilege of handling a diverse range of legal matters. My wide experience enables me to bring a broad-based approach to problem-solving.
In recent years, I’ve decided to dedicate my legal practice to the specific area of Family Law. I believe that by specializing in a selected area, I’d be able to focus my energies and expertise, and thereby give my clients the benefit of specialist advice. Of all the areas of practice which I have been involved in, Family Law has given me the most personal satisfaction. Simply put, this is my preferred area of practice.
I also do Wills & Probate and applications under the Mental Capacity Act.

Jeannette manages to combine thorough legal knowledge with a friendly personality. She has helped me in corporate legal matters and her professionalism at all times impressed me. If she was ever unsure about the correct legal answer to one of my several ‘unusual’ questions she would tell me, and then she would thoroughly research the law in this area before promptly responding with an easy to understand answer. Not everyone is willing to admit there is something they need to check, and Jeannette’s ability to do this instilled a lot of faith in me that I can always trust her and her advice.
Jeannette is a committed lawyer who does her best to represent me. She is willing to listen, understands my circumstances and gave me the much needed professional advice.
I have worked with Jeanette on a few cases in the past and I find her acompetent and professional in all her dealings with me.
