Mr Norhakim Md Shah (Hakim) is a senior associate at IRB Law LLP. He graduated from the University of Liverpool with an LLB (Honours) in July 2010.
Hakim’s experience lies in family law, particularly in the area of Muslim family law. He is well-versed in the Syariah law system, having acted for clients in a wide range of Syariah Court processes, in addition to representing them before the Syariah Court. Hakim has advised and acted for clients in making divorce applications, applications for variation of court orders, and in appeals of Syariah Court decisions. In addition, he handles various other private matters for his clients, such as the drafting of wills. Hakim also has experience in civil litigation, having made civil claims, including debt recovery claims and criminal proceedings, on behalf of his clients. Friendly and energetic, Hakim is a reassuring presence.
Outside of his professional life, Hakim enjoys working with youth and contributing back to society. He actively participates in a non-profit arts group called Panjy in Tampines Changkat CC. The aims of the group include keeping the younger generation away from the streets and motivating them towards accomplishing their life goals.
