About

The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. I feel that this applies with equal force to legal matters and my job as a lawyer is to simplify the law for clients. It is therefore common for me to offer clients more cost-effective solutions than the one clients originally had in mind. It is also not uncommon for me to advise my clients not to pursue a matter if I truly do not see any benefit in doing so.

I can assist you with commercial dispute resolutions, general corporate matters / bankruptcy / family matters (including divorce, wills, probate, adoption and deputyship) / criminal matters.

Liu Yong has been helpful in the explaining on the procedures for the change in name on my NRIC and making the whole process seamless for me, pricing wise is reasonable, I would strongly recommend his services to anyone who is looking for similar service or advise.

Celine Aw,

Vey efficient and quick turnaround. Liuyong responded to my inquiry which sent during weekend and at odd hour. Initially didn’t think will hear back until Monday. Respect his proactiveness and dedication going extra mile and accommodate document collection at after office hours timing. Grateful for the help and assistance rendered.

Steffi Caroline,

My journey with Liuyong has started off 2 years ago when my formal employer proceeded to sue me on Anti-Compete, etc. During these 2 years Liuyong has been able to advise me and guide me through on the entire process on what is going to happen (most importantly on certain pitfalls which may happen and some of the measures/actions which I can consider undertaking to minimise on any potential damages that may hit on me). Though a lot of Legal Technical Terms has been used, Liuyong is able to explain in simple terms and casting some examples for me to understand and allowing to me make the decision (this is very important as you do want to have a legal advisor to provide you with all possible scenarios so that you can be able to make a call for yourself).

Liuyong has been patience and most importantly being able to address to your calls (no matter how late it is or over the weekend), his will on getting the best possible solutions (whether to resolve the case via an amicable means or through an all-out defence) has really impresses me. The amount of knowledge he has on my case is great as he has taken tremendous effort to study it and questioning me, leaving no details being left out.

Prior to the trail, the plaintiff has shown a strong effort in getting me down but all thanks to Liuyong, his preparation work on me and running through with me on what to expect has help. He has also portrait a very strong front during my defence that has help a lot. I have been telling my friends around me that I am glad that Liuyong has been fortunately on my side as my defence lawyer, else I could not expect what will happen.

Eventually, Liuyong has assisted in my defence and allowing me to have the case against me being dismissed. I am really happy with the outcome, and I would strongly recommend anyone who may have similar employment incidents to approach Liuyong for further advise (one more thing which really impresses me, even with a last minute of “changes” from the plaintiff with additional points, Liuyong is able to handle it professional with valid points to revoke on it which I think is really important if you do want a professional lawyer who know his business well to support you).

Finally, the charges from Liuyong have been very reasonable and I can certainly say that it is really value for the amount paid (most importantly you will not have any sense that you are overpaying but getting mediocre support).
