Tania heads the Criminal Litigation and Investigations practice group at TSMP Law Corporation, and is a seasoned criminal defence lawyer. She has particular expertise in defending accused persons accused of sexual crimes and white collar crimes such as corruption, money-laundering, cheating, insider trading, market manipulation and tax fraud.
Tania is also experienced in internal investigations and was part of the Global Investigations team in a global leading financial institution where she worked on large and complex anti-money laundering investigations, anti-bribery and corruption matters, as well as employment-related investigations during this in-house stint.
Tania has been recognised as a ‘Future Star’ in white collar crime by Benchmark Litigation Asia Pacific, and was ranked by Singapore Business Review as Singapore’s 21 most influential lawyers aged 40 and under.

Tania is a criminal lawyer with extensive experience in all aspects of criminal litigation. Some criminal cases include:
Successful acquittals for clients accused of outrage of modesty and maid abuse.
Successfully appealed against an imprisonment term for a client charged under the Prevention of Corruption Act (Seng Hwee Kwang v PP).
Successfully defended against the Prosecution's appeal for an increase in sentence for a client charged with multiple cheating charges.
Successfully defended against murder charges (PP v Astro Bin Jakaria, PP v Ahmad Danial Mohamed Rafa'ee), and successfully defended an accused person from the death penalty ( PP v Gopinathan Nair Remadevi Bijukumar).
Extensive experience and successfully mitigated sentences in Road Traffic offences.
Commercial Crime and Regulatory Compliance
Tania also has extensive experience conducting internal investigations on behalf of corporates and advised individuals and corporates on possible breaches and offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act, Securities and Futures Act, Corruption, Drug Trafficking and other Serious Crimes Act, Penal Code and various other legislations. She has also advised companies on disciplinary conduct within company policies and guidelines, and potential legal risks.

Advised the former CEO of Keppel FELS Brasil who was allegedly involved in cross-border corruption involving bribes of over US$55 million.
Advised a key member of a large commodities trading company when MAS investigations were ongoing.
Advised board members of an integrated enterprise healthcare service provider in internal investigations relating to potential fraudulent transactions and claims.
Advised a notable International College on the possible extradition of its Directors in relation to embezzlement of over KRW6 billion and conspiracy charges.
Magistrate's Complaint
Tania has had extensive experience assisting clients with Magistrate's Complaints on matters relating to personal injury such as hurt caused between parties or in situations where familial relations are strained.
