Overview
Freelancers are self-employed persons who provide a diverse range of services from marketing to writing and even technological support. Hence, freelance services are constantly in demand in most industries, especially by owners of small and medium enterprises.
A freelance service agreement should be watertight in spelling out both parties’ obligations and duties to each other under the agreement, to reduce the occurrence of disputes as the project goes underway.
Freelancers are therefore strongly encouraged to ensure that any benefits and/or protections they wish to obtain from the client for themselves have been detailed in the freelance service agreement in no uncertain terms.
